DESCRIPTION

Magnetic resonance spectroscopy is being increasingly used for investigations of human muscle physiology. This includes monitoring of high-energy phosphates (31P) or glycogen (13C). In addition, all spectroscopic applications require an independent 1H channel for shimming and decoupling techniques. 

RAPID Biomedical has developed a dual tuned calf coil for MR imaging and spectroscopy. For enhanced sensitivity both channels are equipped with quadrature polarization. The coils can be tuned to any combination of nuclei required for your studies – the above example showing a 13C study. The coils also have CE-approval as medical device.
