A movie about our company:

RAPID Biomedical GmbH was founded in 1998 as a "spin-off" from the University of Würzburg, with its focus on Magnetic Resonance (MR) probeheads (coils) for applications in biology, chemistry, animal research and medical diagnosis.

The company specializes in the design and manufacturing of customized RF coils for MRI and production of standard application coils. Our products are built according to the individual needs of the customer.

The team originates from the Institute of Physics at the University of Würzburg, Department of Biophysics  (Chair: Professor Dr. Axel Haase). With more than 15 years of experience in MR coil design, MR physics, and interdisciplinary cooperation with medicine and biology, we maintain strong connections with the team of 30 MR-scientists at the Institute of Physics, Würzburg. RAPID Biomedical is an independent, private owned company.

In 2006 the sister company RAPID MR International was founded in Columbus, Ohio to better serve our customers in the US, Canada and South America.

RAPID Biomedical offers MR probeheads for any biomedical study at all magnetic field strengths and dimensions.
