DESCRIPTION

Experiments on small animals such as mice and rats raise great demands on the ECG trigger unit. Due to the fast heart rates in small animals a dedicated trigger unit is needed. Additionally, imaging results can suffer from artifacts due to respiratory motion.

The RAPID ECG trigger unit HR02 is capable of detecting heart rates of up to 600 beats/minute and includes respiratory triggering. It can be used at all MR field strengths for small animal studies, including mice and rats. It can be connected to most MR system, including clinical scanners. For imaging sequence development the system is delivered with a heart signal simulator.

The RAPID ECG Trigger Unit HR02 allows the storage of individual setups and is delivered with  ECG electrodes and a separate respiration sensor. An additional temperature sensor gives access to the animal temperature. Integrated LCD monitors display all relevant physiological information.
